I participated too with Heart of Haiti! I am also working on aprons for Haiti to honor the women of Haiti. I have yet to make my post about this. But, if you'd like to know more about the project & where to join if you sew, just let me know! I am glad to hear your maternal family survived, safely. You can see my story if you'd like to visit. All my best!

Thank you so much for sharing Heart of Haiti with you readers. Through working with Heart of Haiti I had the opportunity to go there myself and you are right...instead of taking home images of trash and starvation, I find my memories are of bright colors, smiling faces and incredible talent. We must hope the best for Haiti while doing what we can to help.
